
Participants will learn about bioenergy developments nationally and internationally, international agricultural crop production and second generation bi-products that can be used for biofuels, and the environmental, economic, and societal impacts of bioenergy.
This 2 1/2 day workshop for agriculture educators and social science and science teachers, will cover the latest science, include visits to biofuel labs and test-crop sites, and an opportunity develop lesson plans.
Credit: Participating teachers will receive CPDUs or CEUs. Graduate credit from the University of Illinois, College of ACES is available. Cost per credit is $320. Tuition waivers cannot be used.
Housing: Single room lodging will be provided at Hendrick House, a private dorm.
