International Experts Database
April 27, 2005by: Theodore L. Ulen
International Programs and Studies, along with the seven Title VI designated National Resources Centers (NRC) in international and area studies, are in the exciting process of developing an "experts database." This database of faculty and staff with expertise in research with an international focus will serve to help disseminate information about faculty and their research to the public and media. In addition, this database will assist the NRCs in their forthcoming application for over $15,000,000 in Title VI funding, which supports graduate fellowships, international courses, and a multitude of opportunities for UIUC faculty.
The first phase of this process involves identifying campus faculty/staff with international expertise. If you would like to be included in the network of these faculty, please provide us with your CV and the following information:
1. The year of appointment at UIUC
2. Field Experience (if any)
3. Foreign country research focus
4. Specific international research interests
5. Foreign language capacity
6. Courses taught with over 25% international content
7. Number of dissertation and or theses supervised in the last five years
8. Recent publications.
Once your data is incorporated in the master faculty file, you will be emailed a copy to ensure its accuracy and use as a handy summary of your current status and work.
Please respond to Elise Ahn (eliseahn@uiuc.edu) by Friday, May 6, 2005, in order to make sure that your information is included in this database.
