The Transnational Seminar Series links University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign faculty in the social/policy sciences and humanities with counterparts around the world through paper workshops and discussion. Directed by Jan Nederveen-Pieterse, an internationally recognized scholar of globalization and development, this workshop is sponsored by the Departments of Sociology, Political Science, Geography, Urban and Regional Planning, and the Center for Global Studies.
