Tools For Teaching Global History

The Center for Global Studies is dedicated to working with members of the K-12 and Post Secondary Community to create resources such as curriculum guides, course modules, and resource guides. In addition, the Center offers curriculum workshops, class visits with its faculty associates.

The Flow Of Chinese History

"The Flow Of Chinese History" is an online pedagogical tool developed for the Center For Global studies. Students and teachers can view color-coded flowcharts that depict the major dynasties and movements in Chinese history. The flowcharts can be downloaded as Adobe pdfs.

"Teaching Global History" Lecture by John McNeill

This lecture, found in our video resources page, was given in June of 2005 by Georgetown University history professor John McNeill at the Global Studies In Higher Education Conference. The lecture discusses the challenges and benefits of teaching history from a global perspective.This lecture is also available in pdf format.
